Warranty Information

Effective Date: December 30, 2025

This Consumer Limited Warranty describes the warranty protection that may be available for qualifying products purchased through our online store. It is intended to address certain manufacturing defects involving materials or workmanship while preserving any mandatory rights provided to consumers under applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial or local laws. Nothing in this warranty is intended to remove, restrict or diminish a consumer protection or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited in the jurisdiction where the product was purchased or used.

For eligible non-aviation products, the standard limited warranty generally remains in effect for one year from the original date of purchase. If a covered product develops a qualifying defect in materials or workmanship during the applicable warranty period while being used normally and for its intended purpose, the claim may be reviewed to determine whether warranty service is available. Depending on the circumstances, an approved claim may result in repair, replacement, refund or another remedy permitted by this warranty and applicable law. When warranty service is approved, qualifying repair parts and labor are generally provided without an additional service charge. Customers may, however, be responsible for transportation, shipping, handling or delivery expenses associated with sending a product to or from an authorized service location.

The purpose of this warranty is to address defects that originate from manufacturing or material quality. Ordinary aging, expected deterioration and normal use-related wear are generally not considered warranty defects. Cosmetic conditions such as scratches, dents, marks, scuffs, discoloration or similar surface changes are normally excluded unless applicable law requires otherwise. Consumable components, including batteries, may also have limited coverage unless their failure is directly connected to a qualifying defect in materials or workmanship.

Warranty protection generally does not extend to damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper storage, incorrect operation or use that is inconsistent with the product’s intended purpose. Damage caused by flooding, excessive moisture, fire, severe weather, natural events or other external circumstances may also fall outside the scope of coverage. Products that have been modified, repaired, opened or serviced by an unauthorized person or service provider may not qualify for warranty assistance. Unauthorized alterations can change the condition or operation of a product and may make it difficult to determine whether the reported problem originated from a manufacturing defect.

Problems resulting from incompatible accessories or connected equipment may also be excluded. Customers should use appropriate chargers, power supplies, adapters, cables and accessories that are compatible with the applicable product and meet relevant technical and safety requirements. Damage associated with unsuitable electrical equipment, unsupported accessories, defective cables or improper connections may not qualify for warranty service.

Warranty eligibility may be affected when a product has been obtained, transferred, distributed or used in circumstances that violate applicable laws or regulations. Where legally permitted, warranty assistance may be declined if providing the requested service would conflict with legal requirements or applicable restrictions.

Certain navigation-oriented products are designed to provide assistance with positioning, route guidance and general travel information. They should not be treated as the sole source of information when circumstances require exact measurements of location, direction, distance, elevation, terrain or other navigation-related conditions. Maps, positioning information, route data and similar information may contain inaccuracies, omissions or changes. Information can also vary according to geographic location, environmental conditions and the availability of relevant data. Accordingly, uninterrupted or completely accurate navigation information cannot be guaranteed in every situation.

Navigation performance may also be influenced by conditions outside the product itself. Electronic interference from nearby devices, wireless equipment or other sources may sometimes affect satellite signal reception or positioning performance. Certain communications equipment can operate on frequencies that may interfere with signals used by global navigation satellite systems under particular circumstances. If navigation performance is reduced because of external interference, environmental conditions or other outside factors, that situation does not necessarily indicate a manufacturing defect in the product.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the remedies specifically described in this warranty constitute the principal remedies available for an eligible warranty claim. Any implied, express or statutory warranties that may legally be excluded are disclaimed to the extent permitted by law. Where an implied warranty cannot legally be excluded, its duration may be limited to the period of the applicable written warranty unless local law requires a longer period.

Some jurisdictions do not permit restrictions on implied warranty periods or limitations concerning incidental, special or consequential damages. As a result, certain limitations contained in this warranty may not apply to every customer. Nothing in these provisions is intended to remove mandatory consumer rights or remedies that apply under the laws governing a particular purchase.

If a qualifying warranty claim is approved, the available remedy may include repair, replacement with a comparable product or, where appropriate and legally permitted, reimbursement of the original purchase price. Repairs may use new components or previously used components that meet applicable quality and performance requirements. Replacement units may be new or professionally recertified products offering comparable functionality. The remedy available in an individual case may depend on the reported defect, product availability, applicable law and other circumstances associated with the claim.

A repaired or replacement product may receive additional limited warranty protection. Unless a longer period is required by applicable law, coverage for a repaired or replacement unit may continue for ninety days from the date of service or for the remaining portion of the original warranty period, whichever provides the longer applicable period of protection.

Before requesting warranty assistance, customers are encouraged to review the applicable product documentation, troubleshooting instructions and available support resources. Some issues involving installation, configuration, software, connectivity or ordinary operation may be resolved without returning the product for service. If reasonable troubleshooting does not resolve the issue and the problem appears to involve a covered defect, customers should contact us at garmin@gmail.com for further assistance.

When submitting a warranty request, customers may be asked to provide purchase documentation, order information, product model details, serial or identification information and a description of the reported problem. Additional information may be requested when reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim. Customers may also receive specific instructions concerning packaging, transportation, service locations or return procedures. Products should not be shipped to a service facility until appropriate warranty instructions have been provided.

Warranty service requested in a country or region different from the original purchase location may be subject to additional conditions. Product configurations, replacement components, technical specifications, regulatory requirements and service capabilities can differ between markets. As a result, an identical repair or replacement may not always be available in another country. Where appropriate and legally permitted, an alternative solution may be offered based on local resources and applicable requirements.

When international warranty service involves shipping a product across national borders, customers may be responsible for complying with applicable customs, import and export requirements. Duties, taxes, brokerage expenses, transportation charges and other costs connected with international shipments may also be the customer’s responsibility. Local regulations, product restrictions or service limitations may prevent international warranty assistance from being available in certain circumstances.

Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, unapproved online sources or other channels outside recognized distribution networks may not qualify for warranty coverage where applicable law permits such restrictions. Customers may be asked to provide an original receipt, invoice, order confirmation or other acceptable proof showing the purchase source and date. Records from auctions, resale platforms or other secondary marketplaces may not always provide sufficient evidence of warranty eligibility.

When a product was purchased through an independent retailer or another third-party seller, the transaction may also be subject to that seller’s own return, exchange and service policies. Customers should retain receipts, invoices, order confirmations and other purchase records. For transactions completed through an independent seller, customers may need to contact the original seller for assistance with certain purchase-related matters.

Some product categories may have warranty arrangements that differ from the standard consumer coverage described here. Specialized products, including aviation, marine, recreational vehicle and certain audio equipment, may be governed by separate warranty conditions or different coverage periods. The warranty applicable to a particular product depends on its category, purchase location, accompanying documentation and the laws applicable to the transaction.

For products purchased outside the United States, local consumer protection laws and warranty arrangements provided by regional distributors may offer additional rights or service options. The duration, scope and availability of these protections can vary between countries and regions. Customers who are uncertain about warranty coverage for an international purchase may contact us at garmin@gmail.com for information regarding the applicable process.

For customers located in Australia, mandatory consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law may apply in addition to this limited warranty. Such statutory protections may provide rights concerning acceptable quality, major failures, repairs, replacements, refunds and reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any consumer guarantee or other protection that Australian law does not permit to be excluded.

This warranty applies only to the extent allowed by the laws governing the applicable transaction. Its purpose is to establish a defined process for addressing qualifying manufacturing defects while preserving mandatory consumer protections. Eligibility for service and the remedy available will depend on the product involved, purchase circumstances, nature of the reported problem, warranty period and applicable legal requirements.

For questions concerning warranty eligibility, coverage periods, proof of purchase, service procedures, international warranty assistance or other warranty matters, please contact us at garmin@gmail.com. Providing complete information about the product and purchase when submitting a request can help facilitate the review process and allow the applicable warranty requirements and next steps to be explained more efficiently.
